Promociona project, co-financed by the EEA Grants, is much more than a training programme for female leaders. The aim of encouraging, from the business organizations, a higher number of women executives on Steering Committees and Boards of Directors, can be achieved not only by training in management skills but also fostering networking and promoting coaching.

Thus, the result is that 25% of the 186 women participants in three editions have been promoted in their companies, but also they have created the Spanish Association of Executives and Directors for keeping ‘Promociona project’ alive.

One of the activities designed to foster the exchange of opinions and the relations between the participants in the different editions are the Promociona Breakfasts, with the participation of leading representatives from the business world.

In November and December, two Promociona Breakfasts have been held. In the first one, Frode Nordseth, Schibsted Spain CEO was the speaker. During his speech, Nordseth explained how he has adapted the Norwegian working model to a Spanish company and it was quite surprising to hear that he gets off work before 6 p.m. “The key factor is not working long hours but being much more efficient with your time”, explained.

The second Promociona Breakfast invited Maurizio Carlotti, Vice-president of Atresmedia Group, a Spanish leading communication group, to showcase the challenges that companies and society in general face today: digitalization, globalization and a political transition. In his words, “in moments of change, there are big opportunities for the courageous”.

Promociona project is part of the Gender Equality and Work-Life Balance programme, developed by the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality, and co-financed by the EEA Grants.
