The refugee crisis, on stage

 South/North/Movements project addresses the refugee crisis in Europe in the theatre, within a cultural initiative funded by the EEA Grants.

A different exhibition

 WE EXIST is the result of the collaboration between Spanish artist Cristina Nuñez and a group of students of the Oslo Fotokunstskole working in participation with groups of male and female inmates of three Norwegian prisons: Bredtveit, Ila and Ullersmo.

Towards a new welfare state model?

 Norwegian and Spanish welfare state models are drastically different, but both of them faces challenges that forces to seek new solutions, according to the document “New social risks and welfare state reforms in Norway and Spain”, financed by the Norwegian Embassy in Spain, within the EEA Grants framework.

Spain and Norway step up their cultural cooperation

 29 projects of cultural cooperation between Spain and Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein funded with 500,000 euros. Music, theatre, dance, photography and much more… This is the EEA Grants Cultural Diversity and Cultural Exchange Programme which have just finished in Spain, but the story doesn’t end there.

Sorrow as art and art as therapy

And the Norwegian played 'bulerías'

 The Norwegian violin player Ola Kvenberg closed the first Contemporary Norwegian Jazz Cycle in Madrid, within the EEA Grants Cultural Exchange Programme, and he did it with a group of Spanish artists in a perfect fusion between North and South through music.

A Norwegian and 'flamenca' princess

 A princess. An hazardous trip from Norway to Spain in the middle of the Middle Age. Flamenco and medieval music joined forever in a unique and amazing performance. This is "The Princess Kristina and the Goblin", one of the projects financed by the EEA Grants within the Cultural Programme.

Norwegian Jazz in the heart of Madrid

 What a Norwegian jazz violin player has in common with a flamenco guitar player? Or what have in common Norwegian traditional nomad songs with flamenco-jazz fusion? Much more than might be assumed at first glance. Above all, the strong belief that music knows no borders and it is the bond that unites all of us. And a group of first-rate artists will show it in Madrid.
