Just one glance at the map shows that companies from all Spanish regions have projects under the EEA Grants-CDTI scheme within the Environment and Climate Change-related Research and Technology Programme, even though the majority of them are located in the north of Spain.
17 out of the 38 NGOs projects selected within the Active Citizenship Programme are being developed at national level and many others bring together organizations which operate in different regions, creating a strong network within the Third Sector, the ultimate objective of this Programme.
As far as Gender Equality Programme is concerned, either through the Open Calls or through the five predefined projects, the area of action is the whole country. The same is true of the Nils Science and Sustainability Programme. Apart from the nine universities from which 200 students will travel to Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein to study, researchers from various educational and research centres all over the country have received a grant to develop their work in the donor countries.
The Cultural Heritage Programme has a specific location: Granada, the Federico García Lorca centre, but given the importance of the poet’s work, its impact could be global. And the activities developed in order to promote contemporary culture within the Cultural Diversity and Cultural Exchange Programme, have made it quite clear that art knows no frontiers.
