Promoting female entrepreneurship to "change Spain"
Women Entrepreneurship in Emerging Sectors Project closing event was attended by the Spanish Minister of Labour and Social Security, Fátima Báñez, who delivered the diploma to the female participants.

Spanish Minister of Labour and Social Security, Fátima Báñez, was responsible for delivering the diploma to the participants in the Women Entrepreneurship in Emerging Sectors Project in Almendralejo (Badajoz), promoted by Incyde Foundation and co-financed by the EEA Grants.
The Minister highlighted that women “are at the centre of the change in Spain thanks to the creation of successful companies”. Two out of three new entrepreneurs are women, and Báñez encouraged them “to keep taking this step forward for a more prosperous Spain”.
A children physiotherapy centre or a company for manufacturing, renting and sale of historic garments are some of the projects that the participants in this edition of the project are developing. The objective of the Women Entrepreneurship in Emerging Sectors Project, within the Gender Equality programme operated by the Spanish Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality and co-funded by the EEA Grants, is to promote women’s self-employment in the priority emerging sectors where they are underrepresented, through business training and guidance.
This project has been developed in three editions in 32 Spanish cities and 750 women have taken part. They have received individualized counselling for setting up or consolidating their companies, as well as pro bono consulting two years after the project completion.
