The Spanish Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality organized the Encounter Women, Economy and Business, in the Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo in Santander, on August 4th and 5th, financed by the EEA Grants within the Gender Equality Programme.

The course will focus on such important issues as the need to foster women participation in economy and to attain effective equality in business, or how to improve equality on boards. The participants will also discuss how to deal with work-life balance or co-responsibility not only in the companies but also at home. Without forgetting the enduring gender pay gap.

The Encounter will bring together leading personalities in both the public and private sectors from Norway and Spain. The aim is also to foster the exchange of best practice between the countries.
