Small grants for big ideas
The National Focal Point of the EEA Grants in Spain is organizing the Seminar “Small Grants for big ideas”, aiming at showcasing how these funds from Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein are promoting sustainable development in Spain by funding small projects.
05.05.2015
Spain has received in the 2009-2014 period 45 million euros from the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism (EEA Grants) that has resulted in more than 400 projects granted and thousands of direct beneficiaries in areas such as R&D, energy, scientific research, scholarships, NGO, gender equality and culture.
These are just the figures of the EEA Grants in Spain, but behind the numbers there are thousands of success stories. To show how these funds are promoting sustainable development in Spain by funding small projects, the National Focal Point organizes the seminar “Small Grants to big ideas” to be held on 3rd June in the Events Hall of the Spanish Ministry of Finance and Civil Service Administration in Madrid.
The event will bring together representatives from the donor states (Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein), programme operators and project beneficiaries, representatives from the Spanish Administration and invited members from the priority sectors.
