Red CreActiva Project

Labs for social change

New times require new solutions for social problems. That is the basis for social innovation, which Red CreActiva, a project within EEA Grants Active Citizenship Programme, aims to boost in Spain through training activities.

Social innovation is to apply creativity to policies and initiatives for ensuring a change, fostering cooperation at the same time. But, how can social innovation be implemented in organizations? How can be made compatible social innovation and public policies?

Red CreActiva was launched to solve these questions. It is a meeting point to share knowledge and best practices in the field of social entrepreneurship and innovation through innovative methodologies that allow entities and people to foster a positive social impact.

This Project, promoted by Asociación Jovesolides and four partners (iwith.org, Sinnergiak, Fundación Esplai y GVA Generalitat Jove) is cofinanced by the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism (EEA Grants) within the Active Citizenship Programme, operated by the NGO Platform of Social Action.

The main activity are the Social Innovation Labs, training workshops which give an opportunity to social organizations and public administrations workers to explore the social innovation field. Through SCPC methodology (Creative Solutions for Social Problems), the Labs will provide resources and skills so the participants can assess the needs and provide an answer to social challenges in a creative, innovative and efficient way. The labs will start in Valencia (27-29 Mars) and subsequently, in San Sebastián (8-10 April), Barcelona (9-11 April) and Madrid (17-19 April).

Training in social innovation is one of the recommendations in the European Union 2020 Strategy.
