The success of scientific cooperation

 NILS Science and Sustainability programme, funded by the EEA Grants, has enabled to develop more than 100 research projects with excellent results and provide scholarships to 200 students from 11 Spanish universities.

But they are not the only beneficiaries of this project. It has enabled University of Valencia to develop new projects with Norwegian institutions outside the EEA Grants, fulfilling the objective of strengthening relationships.

A male science and a female science?

 Women accounts for 38% of the researchers in Spain, an extremely low figure compared with their presence in University. Why there are so few female scientists? What obstacles do they find to cross from the classrooms to the labs? If there were more female scientists, would science be different?

Researching across Europe

 27 projects were selected in the last Open Call within the NILS Science and Sustainability Programme for mobility of researchers awarded in January. In all, more than 100 research projects have been funded by the EEA Grants in the current period, which have made it possible for 200 Spanish researchers continue their work with Norwegian and Icelandic partners.

In the search for the materials of the future

 Do you know that China has a monopoly in the export of the main element used in mobile screens or solar panels so the prices have soared in the last decade? A group or researchers from the Complutense University in Madrid are developing new ecofriendly materials, in collaboration with the Norwegian Institute for Energy Technology and with EEA Grants financing.

42 million euros for education in Europe

 42 million euros in 11 EEA Grants beneficiary states. Those are the figures of the Scholarship Programme financed by Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein, whose Programme Operators met in Madrid on October 22-24.

Norway, there we go!

 They are more than 200 all around Spain and they are on the verge of beginning an adventure that will change their life somehow. They are the university students who thanks to the EEA Grants Scholarships will study next year in Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein… And some are already thinking about staying longer.
